We are a group of Flight Sim lovers. From the camaraderie of its members and its squadrons professionalism to having fun whilst learning something new. We enjoy the immersion of planning and executing mission based objectives and training to get us there! We come from all backgrounds and although EU based we also have members from the US.
Extremely popular with our members, the F18 Hornet Squadron has a big following.
- Type: F18 Hornet
- Squadron: VFA 27
The F/A-18C Hornet is twin engine, supersonic fighter that is flown by a single pilot in a "glass cockpit". It combines extreme maneuverability , a deadly arsenal of weapons, and the ability to operate from an aircraft carrier. Operated by several nations, this multi-role fighter has been instrumental in conflicts from 1986 to today.
Our F16 Viper Squadron is a new addition to our group, and its pilots are currently undergoing intensive training.
- Type: F16 Viper
- Squadron: 14th FS
The F-16C is a single seat, single engine multirole fighter that was developed in the 1970s. More than 4,500 units were manufactured and are operated today by 26 countries where the aircraft performs numerous missions that include air superiority, close air support, precision bombing, air defense suppression, reconnaissance and more. Few other aircraft can match its versatility, maneuverability, firepower, and huge production numbers.
We cater for a number of other aircraft that currently members like to fly. These form part of our PMC outfit, and although is not a squadron in its own right, we do allow participation of most modern airframes in our Missions. We also entertain ATC/Flight Ops and other non airframe type roles and some of our members are excellent mission makers.
- Type: Helos/Other Aircraft Types
- Squadron: PMC
We frequently incorporate other aspects of interactivity, whether that be RADIO OPS, TACVIEW and Debriefs.
Our Requirements from You
378th VEAW - WILDCATS have been around in DCS for over 10 years. We are a GMT time zone Mil-Sim group (CST +6). We fly at 1930Z. We offer options for those who are new to DCS and veterans alike.
We run a tier of leadership from CAGs, COs, XOs and OPS to Flight Leads, Pilots and Trainees. Be respectful at all times. We have fun and open missions where the inevitable "accidents" occur. We don't ridicule but entertain jolly banter ;)
We look for those most likely to stick things out in the long run. We do not have attendance requirements however, we expect you to show up at LEAST 2x a month to pre-planned training/mission days.
Nobody is immune to the fact you will need to learn new things. We have a multitude of learning material, some you will learn in the air.
Be ready to learn on your own time. Self study is a REQUIREMENT. You are required to show improvement on what you have been shown/taught. You cannot learn any high fidelity model in DCS without dedicating the time to learn it.
Be READY! When you plan to be online, be ready to go. Updated SRS, Updated DCS, and familiarisation with our communications plan. Time is important to everyone.
We always welcome new ideas and new mission makers etc. Want to create a new squadron based on an airframe then step up and say so. Dont be shy - Step forward
